Happy New Year! It’s the start of a fresh new year, and that is great news. God is all about new beginnings, second chances, and fresh starts.
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV
This is what 10X is all about. This is our focus as we start the new year. If you were not able to watch the December 29 online service, please do. I want you to be able to fully jump into the year with purpose.
Letting go of the past is essential in order to embrace the future. What things do you need to forget from 2024? What do you need to let go of? There are hurts, pains, out-of-date plans, disappointments, and ineffective ways of living that all need to be released. God wants to do something new in your life. He wants to awaken you to the plans and purposes for the adventure of your life in 2025.
The wilderness in Scripture most often represents a place of barrenness, hardship, or transition. For the Israelites, the wilderness was a physical and spiritual reality – an environment where they felt lost, confused, and without hope. Yet God promised to make a way in the wilderness for them, and He did.
He still does. The wilderness is not a place of abandonment for God’s people. It’s a place of transformation.
He also says He will make streams in the wasteland. A wasteland is a place devoid of life –dry, desolate, and barren. For the Israelites, their wasteland was the destruction of their city, the devastation of their land, and the loss of their temple. Yet God promised to bring streams of water into this desolate place, to restore life where death once reigned. Did He follow through? He certainly did – He still does.
This is the amazing power of God's renewal: He doesn’t just help us survive the wastelands of life; He transforms them. In the dry, cracked soil of our hearts or circumstances, God can bring living water. I am believing this for you, for me, and for all of NewPointe.
There is a spiritual wakening happening – I don’t want you to miss it!

If you have felt like you lived much of 2024 in the wilderness and wasteland, this is your opportunity to make sure you don’t live there in 2025. Because our Almighty God is faithful and good, 2025 is going to be a blessed year for all who cooperate with Him.
